About Me
I grew up in Chicago, built a career in media and tech over 20 years in Los Angeles, and discovered the magic of Baja on a “quick weekend surf trip to Cabo” in 2018. When the guy who took me surfing (who happened to work for The Agency’s Los Cabos office) showed me a very special 2-bedroom architectural gem, the entire vision came into clear focus - expand the property, design my dream villa, rent it and use it when it’s not rented. By the end of the day, I had an accepted offer.
I hired the original award-winning architect, oversaw an expansion to 4 bedrooms/baths and did all the interior design.
When Covid hit, I moved to Baja permanently, completed the project, and turned the property into one of the highest-performing Airbnb rentals in the region — ultimately earning the title of Airbnb’s Most Wish-Listed Home in Los Cabos (2023). You can see it at https://www.airbnb.com/h/casamargaux
The villa now generates consistently extraordinary income and a solid return (19% gross / ~13% net). Along the way, I built a network of attorneys, architects, designers, landscapers, builders, and suppliers — and learned exactly how to navigate every stage of the process, from purchase to design to maintenance to monetization.
